We have also partnered with ChemTron, as our exclusive suppliers, to provide our properties with access to top industry-standard cleaning and disinfecting supplies and have made training available to support our facility and our staff and managed owned condos in achieving the highest standards of cleanliness, disinfection and hygiene.

Our mission is to make resort travel possible for all, and that becomes especially important during times of uncertainty. Our cancellation policies for direct bookings are among the most flexible in the hotel/resort industry, with hundreds of guests already who have found our facilities honoring no-fee cancellations.

We have enhanced our policies as follows:

For bookings made online at www.bluemarlincove.com using our booking platform, guests are advised to contact all Bahamas and US Authorities Directly to confirm all current and up to date Laws and Local Requirements directly Along with Blue Marlin Cove Policies. Please consult travel advisories and information made available by the World Health Organization, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Department of State.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and adapt our policies accordingly.

Additionally, due to the current situation with coronavirus, our staff are implementing new processes to protect the safety of our guests and team members. This may result in a reduction in certain services and amenities that are normally available at our resort. Those traveling to property and surrounding areas are asked and required to comply with all local guidelines and restrictions and may be required to provide identification establishing that they are “properly cleared travelers.” If guests have questions or concerns, we ask them to please contact the local Bahamas Government Agencies to obtain all proper and current information directly as our onsite and offsite teams cannot and will not confirm any rapidly changing guidelines which could cause a delay in you stay with us.

Blue Marlin Cove Announces Major Expansion to Their Resort and Marina

WEST END, Grand Bahama Island, January 10, 2018

Blue Marlin Cove Resort and Marina has unveiled new plans to build upon their rich sport fishing heritage and expand into a second home, world-class vacation and eco-tourism destination. Plans call for the construction of a new beach club and pool, a welcome center with on-site customs, an amenities building with spa, and the expansion of the marina to approximately 90 floating slips with fuel and diesel pumps. The acquisition of several adjoining properties has been completed, and the resort’s new footprint will include direct beachfront access. Groundbreaking will occur in the second half of 2017 and the new facilities are estimated to be completed in 2018.

Joseph Rieger, owner of Blue Marlin Cove, said: “West End has always been the gateway to the Bahamas. Every year we host thousands of sport fishermen and their families at our resort. With the economy and boating industry continuing to strengthen, more and more boaters are traveling to the Bahamas. In addition to fisherman, we have also seen an increase in the number of visitors who want to enjoy a tranquil getaway to the islands or are searching for a second home with eco-tourism opportunities. We’re very excited about this expansion, as it enables us to increase the resort’s offerings, appeal to a wider variety of owners & guests, offer more convenience to boaters, increase our marina capacity, and continue our mission to provide a world-class Bahamian experience!”

The following is a list of the improvements that Blue Marlin Cove has announced.

New beach club featuring:

  • Beachside restaurant with fine dining
  • New beach pool with bar and oceanside deck
  • Beach front club with cabanas, snorkeling, and kayaking
  • Construction of an artificial reef

New amenity building featuring:

  • Spa and salon with male and female saunas
  • WCs and showers
  • 2nd floor presidential suite

New welcome center including:

  • Resort reception office and lobby
  • Retail store and lounge
  • Outdoor cooking and gaming facilities

Marina expansion including:

  • Increased capacity with approximately 90 floating slips
  • Capability to hold 100 foot boats and yachts, with beams to 25 and drafts of 10ft.
  • New arrival dock with on-site customs/immigration clearance offices
  • Gasoline and diesel fuel pumps with 24-hour self-serve units
  • Updated fish cleaning station and self-serve ice machines

Updates to existing amenities:

  • Restaurant renovation in the main building
  • Room décor rejuvenation
  • Enhanced business center
